Filed under: Fun & activities, Health & safety, Toys & gamesThe U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of about 4,100 Disney Pirates of the Caribbean Sleeping Bags. The zipper pull on the bag has been found to have high levels of lead in the paint, which can be hazardous if ingested. I know it seems unlikely that kids are going to be putting zipper pulls in their mouths, but you never know. Kids do weird things. The recalled bags feature a cartoon design of Davey Jones and Jack Sparrow on the front. Style number F1652B0003 is printed on the logo label inside the sleeping bags. There is a different pirate sleeping bag featuring a skull design which is not included in this recall. These were manufactured in China and sold exclusively at Disney stores nationwide from April 2007 through October 2007 for about $25 each.If you have one, you are advised to immediately take it away from your child and return it to any Disney Store for a full refund. For more information, contact Disney Store toll-free at (866) 902-2798 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT, or visit their Web site. Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments
