The presumptive Republican nominee recently used Hilton's daughter, Paris, in what many are calling a negative TV ad. The ad showed images of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears surrounded by paparazzi, then went on to lump Barack Obama into this category of "celebrity". McCain says that the ad was meant to "inject humor" into the campaign, but Kathy Hilton isn't laughing. She told Huffington Post, "It is a complete waste of the money John McCain's contributors have donated to his campaign." She speaks from experience; the Hiltons donated $4600 to McCain's campaign.I'm sure that it's been painful for Kathy to see Paris portrayed in a negative light over and over again in the press (not that it wasn't deserved), but to have a candidate who you support vocally and financially put your daughter's image into this kind of ad has to sting.
